As a member of the deadly nightshade family, tomatoes have long been associated with magic and were thought to be toxic for numerous years! It was believed that placing a tomato on your mantelpiece could provide protection for your home.
 
Size approximately 19cm x 23cm including raw edges or approximately 17cm x 21.5cm painted edge to painted edge. 
 
These paintings look beautiful framed with the raw edges on show but also look equally lovely framed with a matte hide the edges.
