Part of the Folklore Collection, Blackberry Jewels is an original painting on raw canvas, painted in inks to preserve the natural texture of the canvas and give a tapestry like feel.
 
For thousands of years, blackberries have been eaten and were named "the devil's fruit" having been cursed! These thorny brambles later played a role in helping men win the hearts of women by offering assistance in gathering  fruits from the bushes!
 
Size approximately 18cm x 22.5cm including raw edges or approximately 17cm x 21.5cm painted edge to painted edge. 
 
These paintings look beautiful framed with the raw edges on show but also look equally lovely framed with a matte hide the edges.
